Mincho #11 is dedicated to humour in its broadest graphic and conceptual spectrum, from the visual gag and conceptual illustration to posthumour and satirical art, highlighting its transgressive character.

This issue’s cover artist, Misaki Kawai, invites us to not take ourselves too seriously, an ideology or moral code, connecting with the countercultural basis of humour through play. From the conceptual illustrations of Jean Jullien, Magoz, Aad Goudappel and Christoph Niemann and the subtle irony of Blexbolex’s books, to the world of absurdity and ‘incorrectness’ of the illustrator Ian Stevenson, the animator Don Hertzfeldt, the protagonist of the comic Cowboy Henk, the comedian Miguel Noguera – who granted us an interview – and the artist David Shrigley, we are convinced that the works featured in Mincho #11 will connect with the reader and will activate the mechanism of the pre-frontal cortex of the brain that triggers laughter, but also creative thought and intelligence.

Mincho #11 está dedicado al humor en su más amplio espectro gráfico y conceptual, desde el gag visual y la ilustración conceptual hasta el posthumor y el arte satírico, poniendo de manifiesto el carácter transgresor del mismo.

La autora de las ilustraciones de portada, Misaki Kawai, nos invita a no tomarse demasiado en serio a uno mismo, una ideología o código moral, conectando con la base contracultural del humor a través del juego.

Desde las ilustraciones conceptuales de Jean Jullien, Magoz, Aad Goudappel y Christoph Niemann y la sutil ironía de los libros de Blexbolex, hasta el mundo absurdo y lleno de incorrecciones en el que se mueven el ilustrador Ian Stevenson, el animador Don Hertzfeldt, el protagonista del cómic Cowboy Henk, el humorista Miguel Noguera – que nos concede una entrevista – y el artista visual David Shrigley, los trabajos incluidos en este número conectarán con complicidad con el lector y activarán el mecanismo de la zona pre-frontal del córtex cerebral que acciona la risa, pero también, el pensamiento creativo y la inteligencia.
